That's the most retarded thing I've ever read. Unless you have high-functioning autism there's no reason achievements are obtrusive other than a nice way of keeping track of all the things you've accomplished or acting as a rough guide for players who are lost.

I feel like achievements kind of ruin the point of Terraria.

How? I can't think of a possible reason that would be the case.

Terraria is a game that allows you to do whatever you want to do on your own tempo. You can strive to achieve great things within the game by trying to beat the toughest bosses or whatever, but you can also choose to just build a house and farm some trees or whatever.

With achievements it takes the feeling of full freedom away and it just gives you a checklist of stuff you need to do.

What in the fuck? It's not even a building game primarily. Yeah there's building elements and they help, but terraria since the day it's been released was a metroidvania first and a building game second. Plus if you feel required to finish achievements there's probably something wrong there. I don't like that they spoiled the final boss in the achievements though, I'm PRETTY PEEVED ABOUT THAT.

Here's a castle designed by my friend, and I wired up some dart pit traps for blood moons down at the bottom, and we have some underground housing to make and our hellevator is right there.

Finally finished getting all of the endgame weapons, and I'm gonna go for the endgame armor tomorrow. Loving the SDMG so far alongside the Solar Eruption.

So, what loadouts do you guys have? I'm not quite at endgame yet I think, and I'm having trouble with beating Duke Fishron in even normal mode. I guess I don't have a proper arena for him.
My accessories are Beetle Wings, Worm Scarf, Celestial Shell, Ankh Shield, Frostspark Boots and in Expert worlds the 6th is Fire Gauntlet. My weapons are mostly Daybreak and Scourge of the Corrupter, both Godly. Armor is Chlorophyte. Any tips?
