I accidentally got a virus from an installation. The first sign was a popup. here: http://pinnacletechnology.in/scan-one.html
I knew it wasn't legit. But for the laughs, I called the number. I was directed to go to http://www.support.me, but I am no scrub m8, i no wot u r doing. I immediately hung up.
I've heard of this stuff before, but as a scam call.

In the end I ran AdwCleaner (rly gud m8, use it).

Ever had something similar happen?

Yeah. I took a link that said I could get a free Minecraft account (I had one years ago but it must have deactivated or something), and I knew it was too good to be true, but done it anyway. I got no viruses because I stopped when I was nearly finished, after I gave a phone number I just said "This isn't right". :(

Not since I was like 14. I don't even run active virus protection, I just do a scan once every few weeks.
