But it can with the Invasion boss is the thing. He has 3x armor, and no attack goes unpunished from him. Blocking is pretty awkward.

Ending lag doesn't exist, pokes are overrated and so moves can't be punished when whiffed. Jumping over low attacks obviously doesn't work because the armor sucks you into it and turns it into a high hit and overhead as well so you can't block at all.
