Marvy's SFM Thread
I have so many nice threads. Right?

4. Lip Sync Test
phpBB [video]

I finally got myself to make something again. It's surprisingly easy to do lip-syncing. (thumbsup

3. Kick Test
Spoiler:
Image

I wanted to animate something more complicated and it worked out well. There's some shakeyness but whatever, I am proud of it.
The link to the reference I used is here.

2. Running Test
Spoiler:
Image

It's too smooth/slow and his torso is reeeally stiff, yet I am pretty happy with this one. It shows that I pretty much know how to work with the program and that I am ready to make some more advanced stuff. (thumbsup

1. Animation Test
Spoiler:
Image

It got quite shakey because I had to change a lot and editing it is reaaally tedious. So here it is - My first real animation with this program.
I gotta get used to animating with it pretty fast because I'll have to submit a 3D animation project to the college I want to go to.

Even more test animations may follow and hopefully the project I am preparing for as well. (cheesygrin

Is SFM free? If so, then I'll definitely give it a shot.

Search for Source FilmMaker on the steam store.

y<es it's free sifter.
@marv, if you only want to go with moves, you get into it quite fast.
If you want to build scenes, story, little extras, it will take longer. Planning the scenes and posing the first shot take very long if you want to make something serious.
I was planning a thing since i found out of this program, and i retried it at least 5 times now. But the more time invested, the better the idea formed. though.
It needs just time to get into it and to learn what you need.

It looks quite cool for your first shot :D And it is really lovely to see that you give it a try. (cheesygrin (cheesygrin (scared
e. oh and if you actually play the game, lets play a round. :D (heart

@Dirty Dan: I don't really know how jointing would work here but we could try it some time.

@Sifter: Do it!

@Liz: Yeah, getting used to animating with the program needs time but it seems rather easy. As you can see I am animating way too smoothly and too slow right now. In the future, I'll need to plan and animate some scenes, so there's a lot of work waiting for me. Haha

Thank you, and there's a lot more to follow. (mm

Yeeees, let's do it. PM or skype me your steam username and we'll hopefully find some time to play. (mm (mm (mm

Also, update.

I think a joint would work by sending the actual animation file back and forth.

Yeah, that was clear. I think it's more complicated inside the actual file because the graph editor is complicated to use, at least for me.

Update! (mm

It needs time and some dedication to get into it but when you figure it out it's easier to use than you might think.

nice :D also nice to see something from you ^^ hope you make more (cheesygrin

Did you know that there even are presets for lipsyncing, automatic syncing (which is shit from time to time)? also "phonemes" that make a vocal for mouth? (yay my english is wasted again) these presets can help0 a little, but i thought doing it manually makes it look better.
