Yungdissy/SAMMICH's Thread (8-25-17)

Postby yungdissy » Tue Aug 22, 2017 2:50 am

Well boys, it's me, SAMMICH. I don't know if anyone remembers me from 2009-2013 on the old forum but I started poking around in pivot for a bit. IIRC, I was High Beginner in those days, with a short fling into Intermediate. I suck shite now compared to then, which is funny because I actually got far better at drawing and what not. Anywho, here's a little guy I animated today flipping around like a madman. Enjoy and if you recognize the name "SAMMICH", let me know. I'd love to catch up.

*NEW*

Edit: I think there was an exporting issue, probably the supersampling that makes them float one pixel above the floor. Also a weird blue flash on 2 frames, will try to fix and replace when I get home

Yo sup? maybe you still remember me.

Anyways, that was pretty good. It's not far to intermediate for you I suppose. Good luck!

To be honest, I completely forgot what framerate the norm is for pivot. I vaguely remember animating at 18/20 fps but I did this in 12. Anyways yeah I do remember you man.

Fooled around a bit more this morning, listened to some MGS Soundtracks and wanted to make a revolver spin animation

I animated this at 18 or 20 fps, not sure right now. I think it came out alright.

That looks pretty good. I like the trail on the gun although it's a little excessive. You probably don't need it when he brings the gun behind his back.

honestly I agree about the trail, my fault for making it the same color as the gun. It'd probably look more natural in a lower opacity, thanks for the feedback though!

That was great man. I liked the reaction and the blood effect was sweet. Nice touch adding shadows underneath them too.

Thanks man. I'll try to continue this when I get home. Maybe it'll push me back up to intermediate if I go ham enough.
