Bi-Annual Competition ($50 Prize)

Postby The Specter » Wed Oct 01, 2014 11:45 pm

Hello everyone.
I have a job. Yay. Anyways a perk of being employed is having extra money.
Go figure.
Anyways, I wanted to start a bi-annual competetion.

Rules are simple:
1) Must be 16:9
2) Must be at least Intermediate
3) Must be at least 350 (try to shoot for at least 500) frames long
4) This competition closes after the first 7 entries have been received

Judging Criteria:
1) Pretty much just make it look awesome

Awesome things that I like:
1) Particles
2) Cool effects
3) Awesome fights
4) Bright colors
5) Other things

You can make whatever you want, as long as its really cool. If its all white with a black stick doing some amazing stuff you could still win. The list above is just some suggestions.

Prizes:
1) its all or nothing, winner gets $50 can be through paypal or any giftable online currency. Pretty much as long as I can get you the $50 through the internet that should work just fine. (I dont want to be mailing money)

Well thats about it.

Oh and if someone wants to flash these all together that would be cool.
Judging will primarly be done by myself but I wouldn't mind having an adviser to help me pick.
Also note that if this goes well, I'll do another one right after Christmas for the same prize, maybe more depending on how well this one goes.

Not sure if a 7-entry limit is the best way to go about things, but I'm curious as to how this will turn out.

The power of internet, buddy.
And it's meet (encounter), not meat (food)

Good luck to any participant, hope the competition will be fierce in this one.

If you have a paypal account he can just transfer $50 into your paypal account. I'm assuming that your a bit young for a paypal account though, so instead what he could do is offer to gift you a game on steam that is $50 or less. There's other things as well, but yes the internet is a wonderful place.

I don't think he was talking about pragmatism.
