A serious poem.

Imaginative / creative writing goes here.

A serious poem.

My previous masterpiece failed to entertain you, so I concocted another potion of words.
Bang.
Memories.
Bang.
Memories of you.
Bang.
Memories of you, branded into my mind, and I still feel the hot sting.
You had me from the start. I looked into your eyes and saw heaven.
You saw hell.
You cried and screamed and writhed in agony, yet I failed to respond.
I avoided you because of how much I wanted to be with you, and the irony pains my to this day.
Why didn't I speak up, when clearly you needed to talk?
Why didn't I walk over to you, when clearly you needed someone?
Why didn't I grab your hand, when clearly you were reaching out?
But it's too late now. You're gone.
And it's all. My. Fault.

This poem is a true story. When I was 12 or 13, the girl I had a crush on committed suicide, and I thought for a long time it was because I had avoided her.

...

Can we please go back to that wonderland of a poem you posted before? This is too much.

Hm, the emotional strategy now ? Works for me ... i'm nearly crying.

btw i see no point of making a new thread when there's the mood thread to confess things like these.

I reckon a poem would be more fit in the actual literature section than in there.
