Caleb's Stuff - It Keeps The Doctor Away 17/6/14

Postby Caleb » Thu Apr 17, 2014 12:02 pm

Hi, this is my stuff.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away:
Image
...This is how it works right?
Special thanks to DickBallsDickBalls for the hand stick!

Camouflage:

...or lack thereof. Made this for Pivot Points. Good enough to thread I suppose. I might end it decently when I do have sleep sometime.

Wockingbird:

Something I wipped up over the course of 2 days! I personally love it, even though the ending might be a bit lazy.

Wall:

Fun facts:
Spoiler:
-This animation's exactly 390 frames long.
-This animation's actually a sequel to an old animation I called "Problem Solved", which was an introduction to a stickman I made called funpuppet. I got the idea off one of the comments which said the animation didn't make sense. This is my delayed explanation as to why it did. Unfortunately I lost the animation so I can't show you, but some might remember it!
-This animation was started in the end of 2012. I thought I lost it but somehow managed to find it back and finished it within 2 weeks just now. I animated until after the knocks on the wall at the start back in 2012.

The slowmotion's bad I know, I just don't feel like editing it anymore. I might sometime though, who knows.
Edit: Okay so I got 3 comments so far and they all said they didn't find anything bad about the slowmo so I'll point out why I think it's bad. Sure it's smooth and all, but the timing's off. It feels really out of place.

Old stuff:

Spent a lot of time in this with Pivot 2 a while back. I love it a lot so yeah.

This was a really cool illusion (guess I can call it that) back on DD. Doesn't work here but still fun for nostalgia purposes.

For an old wallflip competition thingie in freestyle.

Image
Soccer fun, also started as a freestyle thingie. I like the little lob he does.

Image
It's a nailgun AND a handgun! Why, isn't that just nifty!

Haha, that was cute. Nice work, the bird reminds me of Gifgiffs jumping thing springbird or however it is called. Great stuff!

Damn dude those movements were so clean and smooth. How did you have patience for that? That's just so cool and original.

Veteran movements ;)

That's just beautiful. I especially love the part where the egg pops out, even tho it's very minor, animation wise, it just adds SOO much to it. Great job on the movements and all too.

Wow, so many enthusiastic comments in such a short time haha. Thanks for all the positive feedback guys!

And yeah Lukas, some of the movements were definitely like "Oh, I want that to look like Gifgiff did with springbird!" and I succeeded in that quite well if I do say so myself. Thanks!

I really like the idea of your illusion video, you should play on that idea more and make a new animation on here with it :)

The wall Animation is neat too! and the bird animation is a new spin on Pivot, you generally do not see people stray to far from the stick figures, so it is nice to see something new and different!

Keep it up!

Yeah as pretty much everyone else poointed out your vets or at least super close. Your movements are pretty much flawless and you animated that bird like a professional. Even the feathers were fluid and great looking. Can't wait to see more
