Definitely an improvement over your previous gun shooting animations. If you took what I said from my thread and applied it to this animation, I would like to clarify that some vertical gun kick is still needed in addition to the back kick especially for the higher powered battle rifles. I think the kick back should be emphasized by a few pixel and have some vertical recoil as well. Other than that I feel the legs should have been constantly moving even by a tiny bit not because of the recoil from the gun but because the prolonged stop in that pose makes the stickfigure look stiff.
Here's a video of someone shooting the SCAR-H. Of course, many people handle recoil differently but it's important to get a good sense of how much power a gun has to make the reaction suit it. Keep it up; you're definitely progressing well.

Work on stiffness, and feet sliding, but other then that I can see some good backbone habits coming into play! Keep it up :)
