Smoke Effects?

Postby Finom » Mon Dec 21, 2015 6:58 pm

I was wondering if anybody had some .pivs of smoke effects. It really interests me, and I've seen how some animators do it in flash, but I would also like to see the pivot side of things as well. I don't have Flash/Macromedia

I usually have like 3 sticks for 1 cloud of smoke, I enlarge the stick in the next frame, make it more transparent and do the same with the next one. Having one stk. for smoke is pretty inefficient because its size and shape change depending on how you use it, so it'd be better off to make your own for the situation you're animating.

Or befriend some talented animators and steal their stuff. Yeah.

I use circles and slap them together. That's really all I did here.

Lighter colored circles under darker colored circles.

E: I mean that's how he made the crescent parts in the smoke.
