Animation Points

Postby Blademaster » Tue May 10, 2016 5:29 am

Hey guys, it's time to bring back Animation Points!

I hope some of you still know how the system works. Well... if this is new to you, don't worry - I'll explain it:

First of all, EVERYONE is allowed to enter! :)
Pivotpoints should get you some motiviation to animate by collecting points. You collect these points by choosing and animating some of the ideas which are in the spoiler below.

Also you can find the link to the old thread |.HERE.|

The goal of this whole thing is to get some satisfaction by collecting these points. You can win something here. (cheesygrin
If you have more and creative ideas to make the list bigger, don't be afraid to suggest them!

___________________________________________________________________________________________

RULES (taken from TBM's thread):
*Pivot 4 is going to be the default version used by every animator who posts an animation on this thread;
*ANYONE can participate!
*Posting old animations is not allowed, nor continuations of old animations;
*It is generally not allowed to do the same assignment more than once, though there are a few exceptions;
*You can overwrite an old assignment with a new one, if you feel the new version could earn you extra PP;
*You can't get points for two tasks in one animation
*Quality over quantity!
*Each task is given a rank of difficulty. the amount of PP you get depends on how much effort you put in and how well you complete the task (ie: if the task is to show weight, how many points you get could depend on how well you show weight).
The tasks marked EASY are worth 1-5PP.
The tasks marked MEDIUM are worth 3-15PP.
The tasks marked HARD are worth 10-30PP.
If you go above and beyond for these tasks, you could exceed the boundaries.

*Creating a background, animating expressively and being creative could earn you more points ',:)

___________________________________________________________________________________________

This Ranking list will be updated frequently whenever a new animation is added.
Your points will be archived in this thread.

Okay guys, I am sorry, but I have to stay strict!

I like the people who already entered. But I am terrible sorry. Some of these subjects are like overrated in my opinion. I really would love to give out these points that easily, but I honestly can't.
I'll fix up some of the PP and give them out fairly.

Changes done:

Updated: heavy 2 PP, drunken style 2 PP,
Drunken Master 15 PP,

honestly I want to ask for aid. If you guys notice any pivotpoints are given out too "easily", then let me know. I'll be sure to make the changes asap.

i suggested the 2 assignments in 1 task in the last thread. instant regret, because its way too easy to get points now. i think we should bring back the rule that says an animation can only be for one task; if it contains two, the highest scoring one is awarded.

also im working on a punchbag one

I do not think that it is a bad idea to have 2 in 1 when it's a small amount of points.
We could make an extra rule so it just works for the exercises which give low amount of pivotpoints.
But honestly I'll just open a voting pole and we let the community decide. :p

Edit: yup, Thanks for noticing Harry. I fixed it up.

I also added the rules from TBM's thread. Based on how the votes will go, the 2 in 1 rule will be accepted or denied.

Wow that's some serious cocoon abuse. Why's he got to be so mean to that unmorphed butterfly?

Besides that, neat animation. The fullbody is so nice. Lots of power in those attacks. Probably enough to kill a butterfly, you monster.

Postby Omega » Wed May 11, 2016 9:02 pm

can you do multiple at the same time and still be rewarded for each? not saying 2 in 1... but lets say you do a fullbody with 3d playing with a ball and crossing a bigger dude
Itd be the fullbody, 3d, ball and the small vs big, would you be rewarded for all of those or just get the 2 in 1?
