Is it quite a long game? I've heard many good things about it but I've only played the beginning on xbox one backwards compatability, but I picked up some other bits on PC and let it fall by the wayside. Is it really as good as it's said to be?

Apparently it takes 18 hours for the main story. For me, it took 30 hours but I did the Main + Extras. Some people say it drags slightly in the middle, but it still feels like a good length to me. What helps is that the four chapters feel distinct from one another and the environment has a lot of variety (when you unlock other portions of the map).
The story itself is quite good, especially towards the end. The game-play feels fun to me as well. If you liked what you played, it's worth playing more, but try not to let what people have said colour your expectations for the game either. Just enjoy it for what it is and I'm sure you'll have a blast.
