You guys get your wish. The due date is now the 19th of March, 2017. Plenty of time to make some kick-ass entries now. :D
Nice! I was thinking about entering but the due date was too soon. This is great, please count me in!

It's been a fair few years since I said this.

IN.

Been a long while and I'll definitely never be doing it again as I'm a busy 21 year old these days. But what the hell, not doing too much this Christmas :)

I'm glad you could join Sway. :)

Also, I have a question for everyone about the entries: do you agree with programs other than Pivot being used? (Adobe Flash, Toonboom, etc.)

Please vote in the poll and voice your thoughts if you can.

Re: DDC13 Sign-ups - Question

Post by SIFTER »

If wouldn't allow it, if it were up to my decision. DDC is purely Pivot, and adding any other program to the equation will ruin what makes it recognizable, impo. Maybe some post-processing of a pivot animation using 3rd party software would be acceptable, but even for someone like me I'd restrict myself to Pivot alone.

I would say yes, but for other software have some kind of rule to enforce a style similar to pivot and keep a higher standard.

To be honest i think DDC should be pivot exclusive. Sure it's limited as fuck but those limits can be worked around to make something mad unique.

DDC has always been where Pivot shines alone and is pushed to new limits, and it would be great to continue to push even further.

I started working on my entry a few weeks back, it's a slow but sure process. At the rate I'm going, I wouldn't have made the Dec 31 deadline, but March is plenty of time! Thank you for the extension Jojishi!

Make this collab epic everyone.

Pivot has reached levels we couldn't have imagined when we first started using it.
Even though the poll is saying what the community thinks, I would say yes too. It would make more people join the so-known collab, and I have had some ideas for the DDCs in the past that would be pulled off nicely in flash or other software. Still, if it sticks to Pivot only then that's okay, I believe it would be a nice way to get more people to animate for this :D I just think it's part of evolution, but oh well...

Hmmm alright.
Honestly, I suck at any percise-detail cnc. I can do big picture ones cnc pretty good tho.
