I really need to get better with red rust, I feel like there is no diversity to my duels. It's like they roll under the most predictable R1 ever and we keep doing these boring little backstep/roll R1 exchanges where nobody gets anywhere. And then every now and then I get clipped by the bullshit hitbox of a katana or something and slowly die. I get parried a tonne as well.

It's such a fun weapon moveset wise, but I really need to learn the actual strategies to getting r1 chains off with it because it's pretty redundant at times.

It's has an axe moveset. So what are axes best at? punishing rolls, either rolling towards you or away from you. If you see someone roll into you go ham on that R1/RB, if you see someone roll away from you go for that 1 handed R2/LT. Not sure how reliable the R2/LT is for punishing rolls though, seems slower than a regular axe. If you get parried a tone just watch out for obvious indicators like someone taking out their shield, waiting for you to roll towards them, back stepping. If you guys are just playing footsies for a while and not fighting then throw out the jump attack, can't be parried and you can probably roll out with some good frames or parry the guy if he is slowly walking towards you.

Also never roll and hit R1/RB, easiest thing to parry.

Can't really decide which one looks better, leaning towards the second a bit more.
So far I been wrecking town with this build, almost rank 1 in BoB. This build makes me
feel so good each time I beat those rapier/katana try hards. Not that those weapons are OP,
just very easy to use.

Second one is nicer for sure.

Also axe moveset? Are you sure you aren't thinking of the red rust sword, i'm using the scimitar.

Well there is my problem right there, I fucking always use the rolling R1 and all it really ever does it put me further away with that stupid spin jump shit. I'll try to backstep/sprint r1 when chasing and pressuring from now on.

Got Rank 2 on my build :). Went on like a 90 winstreak today in BoB. My hands hurt so much from playing and I got a
shit ton of hatemail for it. Salty ass fucking community. Still I fucking love this game. Too much love. This game has ruined
other games for me, they just aren't as fun as THIS game.
