By passion you mean like, emotion in the art, I agree. There tends to be lack of glare or feeling the art gives off. The use darkish colors with no dark subject in the art gives off this plain feel. So if that means passion, there is only talent. (Im not counting the ones that where obviously used for practice. Such as the side view of the face or the carticture. But then again, this is roaming into higher level stuff, and Im pretty sure we are just all trying to learn: where should I put theses lines/strokes.
Its really hard to explain what im trying to say but uhhh... in real life, if you copy down every single detail, every single wrinkle, scale, skin piece with sharpie, its going to look wierd and odd. Somethings in real life are quite not-noticable. And some of your art is making those not-noticable things, too noticable making it look odd. Such as the mouth lines on the side of your mouth that goes up to your nose. Lighten it a bit up. make it less noticable. (unless they are old, then well its pretty noticable.)
Other than that, you still got talent.
